Lashnits Lab @ UW-Madison SVM

VBDDL @ NCSU CVM

The NC State Vector Borne Disease Diagnostic Laboratory provides commercial vector-borne disease testing for veterinary species nationally. Veterinarians submitting blood samples for vector-borne disease testing are asked to submit any fleas that are found on pets for biobanking as part of the FleaNet project.

IPRL @ NCSU CVM

The Intracellular Pathogens Research Laboratory, led by Dr. Edward Breitschwerdt, has been researching Bartonella, Rickettsia, and other vector-borne zoonotic diseases in pets and people for over 30 years.

Herrin Lab @ K-State CVM

Dr. Brian Herrin is a veterinary parasitologist whose laboratory focuses on flea- and tick-borne diseases. He maintains a large colony of fleas for experimental studies, including wild-type and drug-resistant strains.
